Honor or Memoralize Your Loved One at The Brian Demchak Hope Run/Walk 5K

In addition to renaming the annual St. Margaret Foundation 5K to "The Brian Demchak Hope Run," there will be a Memorial Garden available at the race to memorialize Brian and other loved one's of race participants.

 Each race participant my receive a free flower wind spinner to honor or memorialize their loved one during The Hope Run/Walk.

  • Participants can designate a flower in honor or memory of a loved one during registration.

Can't make the race? Make a $35 donation and honor or memorialize your loved one. A flower wind spinner will be placed in the memorial garden on race morning.

Create a fundraising page and support the patients of St. Margaret Hospital!  Ask your family, friends, neighbors and employees to support you in the Brian Demchak Hope Run/Walk.  Your fundraising dollars will "fill in the gaps with hope" for a patient in need this year.

2018 Incentives

All fundraisers will receive invcentives for reaching fundraising goals!  

$750 or More: A Road Side Assistance Car Kit
$500 or More: An Emboidered SMF Fleece Jacket
$250 or More: An Embroidered SMF Ball Cap
$100 or More: A SMF Canvas Tote Bag

 All fundraisers of $50 or more will also receive FREE registration for the 5K!

LEARN HOW TO EARN 150 HEALTHY STEP POINTS

UPMC Employees who participate in the Brian Demchak Hope Run/Walk have the ability to gain up to 150 Healthy Step Points and/or receive prizes for online fundraising!

Review each of the three Couch to 5K Sessions and take the corresponding quizzes!  Then register for the 2018 Brian Demchak Hope Run Walk.

Step 1: Registrer for the 5K as a UPMC Employee

Step 2: Download the Couch to 5K App

Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the Couch to 5K app offered through Active.com and follow the program.  The download is FREE and easy to use!

Step 3: Watch these 3 Couch to 5K Webinars on your computer and Take the Quizzes

*You must take the quizzes in order to receive the Healthy Step Points

Earn 50 healthy step points when you register for the Hope Run.  By completeing the Couch to 5K Program & registering you can earn a TOTAL of 150 healthy step points.
