The 62nd life saved by a PULSE AED occurred in early December

The Board of Directors of St. Margaret Foundation recently approved a number of grants for the next fiscal year totaling more than $1.15 million to support programs and initiatives benefiting UPMC St. Margaret and its surrounding communities.

A special memorial fund has been established to honor fallen FBI Agent Sam Hicks. To donate, lick on the “Make a Gift” link on the right toolbar, and designate the gift in memory of Agent Hicks.

St. Margaret Foundation recently held a Car Seat Safety Event at Foxwall EMS, where 28 child safety seats were inspected for proper installation.  For more information on Car Seat Safety at the Foundation, call Dave Bianco at 412-784-5262.

A free Ski/Snowboard Workshop sponsored by Centers for Rehab Services-St. Margaret Sports Medicine will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in the Conference Center at UPMC St. Margaret.

St. Margaret Foundation recently donated nine new AEDs to Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh, bringing the total number of PULSE AEDs in the region to more than 1,200.

This week St. Margaret Foundation held its first “State of the Foundation” event, where valued Delafield Society members, along with other important supporters, heard from Foundation Board Chair Dr. E.J. Donnelly and Executive Director Matthew Hughes about the accomplishments and future plans of our organization – in support of UPMC St. Margaret hospital and the communities it serves.
