DONATE TO SUPPORT OUR PATIENTS, DOCTORS, NURSES AND STAFF in the COVID-19 CRISIS

Your gift is especially important for two reasons:
HELP DOCTORS, NURSES and EMPLOYEES with a donation to the EMPLOYEE EMERGENCY FUND:
-
FREE BOXED LUNCHES FOR CHILDREN of EMPLOYEES WHO ARE HOME FROM SCHOOL – Employees who would otherwise have children in school that are now at home are able to pick up free boxed lunches for those children in the cafeteria. This is paid for by St. Margaret Foundation. As the shelter-in-place order continues we likely will not be able to continue to support this without donations.
-
CHILDCARE FORGIVABLE LOAN/GRANT PROGRAM – In an effort to support employees, especially hourly rate employees, St. Margaret Foundation will offer a forgivable loan/grant of up to $500 to help cover childcare expenses for school-aged children of employees during the shelter-in-place order. If the employee is still employed with St. Margaret in six months the loan will be forgiven.
-
FREE CARE PACKAGES OF BREAD/GROCERIES/TOILET PAPER and MORE FOR EMPLOYEES – St. Margaret Foundation will sponsor free bread, groceries, toilet paper and other household staples from our Food Pantry for our employees who need it due to a spouse who has been laid off or other loss of income.
-
FREE HOTEL ROOMS FOR EMPLOYEES - St. Margaret Foundation has negotiated reduced hotel rates from a number of hotels for employees who do not want to return home to spread the virus to their families. The hospital would identify who qualifies. St. Margaret Foundation would pay for these rooms. Average negotiated discount rate is $50/night.
HELP PATIENTS with a donation to the ROD RUTKOWSKI BED FUND: With the COVID-19 crisis the hospital is expecting many patients to be admitted with needs outside of covered care such as lodging for loved ones from out of town, transportation home, family needs, medicine, sheets for people sent home confined to a hospital size bed, items from our food pantry and more.
Dr. Marshall Stafford, St. Margaret physician and foundation board member, explains why he is a donor to St. Margaret Foundation and the impact the foundation programs have on patients in need.
